Offline Download of Microsoft Teams Meeting Attendance Report

 

Earlier Microsoft Teams Meeting Attendance reports where only available with the Meeting Organizer before the End of Meeting. Offline download of the Teams Meeting report was not available. Enhancing the reporting feature Microsoft is now rolling out the capability to download the Microsoft Teams Meeting Attendance Report after the meeting.

In June (MC209710) Microsoft provided Teams meeting organizers with a participant report that includes join and leave times. Microsoft is now making key changes to improve functionality and provide additional participant data in the report.

This feature is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 66459.

The Feature Roll Out Timing

Microsoft will begin rolling this out mid-February (previously early February) and expect the rollout to be complete at the end of February (previously mid-February).

How this will affect Microsoft Team Users

There are two areas of improvement:

1. Download point changed from roster view

The Teams meeting organizer can download the Attendance Report from the meeting chat once the meeting is over. 

Only the meeting organizer will see the Attendance Report. The recording, transcript and participant list will be grouped together in chat if the meeting is recorded. Otherwise, only the participant list will be available in chat. 

2. New participant data

The report will now include these data points: duration, email address, meeting start time, and meeting title. 

What Organization need to do to Prepare

When Microsoft introduced this feature in June, feature was disabled by default. It will remain off by default. This Feature can be enabled by running the following command on the Microsoft Teams PowerShell.

You can use a PowerShell cmdlet to turn this feature ON:

Set-CsTeamsMeetingPolicy -Identity Global - AllowEngagementReport "Enabled"

Microsoft Teams Voice Gets Enhanced with New PSTN Call Routing Feature

Microsoft Teams Voice has recently added a new feature that allows administrators to control how PSTN calls are routed to user accounts. This is a critical feature for many organizations, as it allows them to separate PSTN calls from internal calls. The new feature is part of Microsoft Teams Calling Policy. To enable it, administrators need to log in to the Teams Admin Centre and navigate to the Voice section. Under Teams Calling Policy, they will see two options for PSTN calls: Inbound PSTN: This option covers any incoming call coming into the tenant via Direct Routing, Microsoft Calling Plan, or Operator Connect. Delegate Features in Microsoft Teams Get a Major Overhaul, Including Call Barging

Microsoft Teams has added new features for Delegate. One of the key features added recently is Call Barge. Is this the start of the Contact Centre Development within Microsoft?
