Microsoft Teams Custom Video Background


Most of the Organization who are using Microsoft Teams have received the latest application wherein they are able to customize the background images on the Microsoft Teams Application while displaying the Video. Background effects feature for Teams meetings is part of road map ID 62890.

Microsoft has rolled out for all the Tenant and for the Tenants who have not received it yet the feature will be rolled out till the End of April 2020.

How to Enable the Video with the Background Image with Microsoft Teams Meeting

Form the Microsoft Teams Application > Start a Meet Now Meeting and Then Click on More Options




Then select the appropriate image and do the preview as well Refer to the below image. 



Once you click on Apply and Turn on the Video the settings would be saved and the specific custom background can be used for the Video in the Teams Meeting

Currently with the custom background for the Video you can upload your favorite background image from the Microsoft Teams Application, but the feature would be enabled by Microsoft Teams soon.

How to Enable the Video with the Background Image with Microsoft Teams Meeting with my own customized background Image

For the Windows Machine the Path is as follow

C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME_HERE\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams\Backgrounds\

For the MAC Book the Path is as follow
users/<username>/Library/Application/Support/Microsoft/Teams/Backgrounds/Uploads

Microsoft Teams Voice Gets Enhanced with New PSTN Call Routing Feature

Microsoft Teams Voice has recently added a new feature that allows administrators to control how PSTN calls are routed to user accounts. This is a critical feature for many organizations, as it allows them to separate PSTN calls from internal calls. The new feature is part of Microsoft Teams Calling Policy. To enable it, administrators need to log in to the Teams Admin Centre and navigate to the Voice section. Under Teams Calling Policy, they will see two options for PSTN calls: Inbound PSTN: This option covers any incoming call coming into the tenant via Direct Routing, Microsoft Calling Plan, or Operator Connect.
