Skype for Business Online/Microsoft Teams + Phone System + Calling Plans + Microsoft Conferencing (Microsoft Offering)

  
Whoo!! Whoo!! Whoo!! Whoo!!!

With the latest changes in the Microsoft Licensing that has been announced in the Microsoft Ignite 2019. Microsoft has now decided to tap on the SMB Segment for its customer. When Microsoft announced Cloud PBX 5 years ago I did test the services with the SMB Licenses and things where working all fine with restricted features. Now with Cloud PBX Feature functionality released with Full Fledge Services this would be a great offering from Microsoft.

Microsoft announced that they would be offering Cloud PBX Solution for Business Customers. The Business Licenses eligible for the services are as follows: -
·         Office 365 Business Essentials
·         Office 365 Business Premium
·         Office 365 E1
·         Office 365 E3
·         Office 365 F1
·         Microsoft 365 A1
·         Microsoft 365 A3
·         Microsoft 365 E3
·         Microsoft 365 Business
For Example, if we consider Office 365 Business Essentials User, we would require having the following SKU for the customer.  

The Licenses Configuration for the users would be as follows
·         Microsoft Office 365 Business Essential
·         Phone System License
·         Domestic Calling Plan (Option1)
·         Domestic + International Calling Plan (Options 2)
·    PSTN Conferencing Licenses (This License would be useful for those users who tends to schedule external and internal meeting with their colleagues and other companies. Hence this license is an optional license for the Administrators)

Domestic Calling Plan (Option1): - With this plan Microsoft Offers calling Domestic within the country i.e. A United States user with the Domestic Calling Plan will be able to makes to any of the Domestic user within United States either Landline or Mobile.

Note: - The Domestic Calling Plan comes with the limit of 3000 Minutes per month in Canada whereas for United Kingdom the limit of 1200 Minutes and in case you need any additional minutes there is a flexibility to add more minutes with the top up recharges.

Domestic Calling + International Calling Plan (Option2): - With this plan Microsoft Offer Calling both the Domestic and International Calling around the world. There is restriction to calling some handful list of countries but apart from that we would be able to call all the International Countries.

Note: - The Domestic Calling & International Calling Plan comes with the limit of 3000 Minutes per month for Domestic Calling in Canada and 1200 minutes in United Kingdom and for Business Voice doesn’t offer International Calling. If International Calling is a must then End User can purchase Communication Credit for availing the same. In case you need any additional minutes there is a flexibility to add more minutes with the top up recharges.

Currently the feature is available only in Canada and United Kingdom. Additional New Countries would be announced with the features in the year 2020.

Microsoft Teams Voice Gets Enhanced with New PSTN Call Routing Feature

Microsoft Teams Voice has recently added a new feature that allows administrators to control how PSTN calls are routed to user accounts. This is a critical feature for many organizations, as it allows them to separate PSTN calls from internal calls. The new feature is part of Microsoft Teams Calling Policy. To enable it, administrators need to log in to the Teams Admin Centre and navigate to the Voice section. Under Teams Calling Policy, they will see two options for PSTN calls: Inbound PSTN: This option covers any incoming call coming into the tenant via Direct Routing, Microsoft Calling Plan, or Operator Connect. Inbound federated: This option covers any incoming non-PSTN call that is originating outside your own tenant. Once administrators have selected the desired option, they need to click Save. Delegate Features in Microsoft Teams Get a Major Overhaul, Including Call Barging

Microsoft Teams has added new features for Delegate. One of the key features added recently is Call Barge. Is this the start of the Contact Centre Development within Microsoft?
